Sidney North Saanich Yacht Club was founded in 1981 by a group of individuals interested in boating. From the outset it was designed to be an affordable and accessible club serving both the powerboat and sail boat communities. Currently, the club has about 600 members and a very active and evolving Junior Program. The distinctive and well-appointed clubhouse, converted from an old family home, is located on the west shore of Tsehum Harbour in a park-like setting of lawns, gardens, and trees.
The club operates a reciprocal dock and a full service bar and restaurant available to members, their guests, and to members of sister yacht clubs. In addition to these amenities, a vibrant social calendar provides a wide range of activities for members – both on and off the water. Included in the on-water activities are cruises, racing, junior sailing and junior summer school programs. The junior summer school is open to the entire community and trains about 200 youths between the ages of 8 and 18 each year – over 3,000 have been trained to date. The clubhouse is the venue for a wide variety of activities including social events, speakers’ series, education programs, bridge tournaments, and various annual ceremonies. In addition, the clubhouse can be rented by members for private events such as weddings, and anniversary parties.
We’re extremely proud to be partnered with Sidney North Saanich Yacht Club and encourage all of our customers to stop by the club (located at North Saanich Marina) to see what they have to offer. For more information visit their website.
